Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-08-15. Plain language, and specific — we've tried to say exactly what we hold rather than reserve the right to hold anything. Questions to hello@theneighborhoodpros.com.

The short version

  • We do not sell your data, and we do not share it for advertising.
  • There are no third-party analytics or ad trackers on this site. No Google Analytics, no Meta pixel, no session recording.
  • We never store the IP address of someone who scans a QR code — only a one-way hash of it.
  • Scan records are deleted automatically after 400 days.

1. If you're an advertiser

When you create an account and book a slot we hold: your email address, business name, industry, phone and website if you give them, your logo and any artwork you upload, the ZIP codes and months you booked, and the history of your reservation (when it was paid, proofed, approved).

Payment details never touch our servers. Card numbers go directly to Stripe, our payment processor. We store only Stripe's identifiers for your customer record and payments, plus the amounts, so we can show you your own billing history and issue refunds.

2. If you scanned a QR code on a postcard

You do not have an account with us and we are not trying to identify you. When a code is scanned we record: which advertiser's code it was, the time, a one-way hash of the IP address, the browser's user-agent string, a coarse location (city, region, country), and the referring page's origin and path.

The IP hash is salted and cannot be reversed back to an IP address. We keep it only to tell one visitor apart from another for counting purposes and to catch automated scanning. Referrers are stripped to origin and path, so query strings never land in our database.

The advertiser sees counts, trends and coarse geography. They never see your IP, your hash, or anything that identifies you individually.

3. If you're a business we contacted

We build prospect lists from public sources — business directories, public listings and public websites — holding the business name, category, public contact details and public address. This is business contact information, not personal browsing data.

Every outreach we send explains how to be removed. Ask and we delete the record; we do not keep a "do not contact" copy of anything beyond the minimum needed to avoid contacting you again.

4. How long we keep things

  • QR scan records: 400 days, then deleted automatically by a daily job. 400 days is deliberately longer than the longest commitment we sell, so a 12-month advertiser can always see their full campaign.
  • Account and reservation records: kept while your account is open, and afterwards only as long as tax and accounting law requires for the transaction.
  • Artwork and proofs: kept for the life of the campaign plus a reprint window, so we can rerun a card if something goes wrong at the press.

5. Who else sees it

We use a small number of processors, each for one job:

  • Stripe — payments. They receive your payment details directly.
  • Supabase — our database and file storage.
  • Vercel — hosting.
  • Resend / Brevo — sending you email about your own reservations.
  • Mapbox — the coverage map on this site.
  • Cloudflare Turnstile — checking that form submissions are not bots.
  • USPS — receives the mailing itself, as any mailer does.

None of them are permitted to use your data for their own advertising. We have never sold data and have no plans to.

6. Cookies

We set a session cookie so you stay signed in, and Turnstile sets one while it verifies a form. That is all — there are no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies here, which is why this site has never shown you a cookie consent banner.

7. Your choices

Email us and we will tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. There is no form to fill in and no fee. If you ask us to delete your account we remove your personal details; we keep the minimum transaction record that accounting rules require, and nothing more.

If you are in a place with specific data rights — the GDPR in Europe, or state privacy laws in the US — those rights apply to you here, and the answer above is the same: email us and we will do it.

8. Children

This is a service sold to businesses. We do not knowingly collect anything from children.

9. Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top, and email customers with active reservations if the change is significant. Our terms of service cover the commercial side of the relationship.
